Kevin Downswell is a Gospel recording artiste, evangelist, and speaker whose life and music carry one clear message: God is faithful. Known for his rich vocals and deeply spiritual sound, Kevin has become one of the Caribbean’s most loved and sought-after voices in Gospel music.
His ministry has reached audiences across Africa, the UK, Europe, Australia, North America, and the Caribbean through songs like Carry Me, If It’s Not You, Grace, You Make Me Stronger, My Year, and many more. Kevin’s discography includes four studio albums, Close to You, The Search Continues, All the Way, and Grace, along with two live recordings, Realignment: The Live Encounter and The Shift. In June, he released Midnight to Victory, a personal testimony of God’s guidance through dark seasons into triumph. He later partnered with PantaSon to release Bless Me on September 1st, followed by Take the Lead, a powerful collaboration with Dr. Paul Enenche, Senior Pastor of Dunamis Global, one of Africa’s most influential church leaders.
He is also an author. His first book, The Search Continues: The Journey, chronicles his walk of faith, while his latest release, Midnight to Victory: A 90-Day Devotional, drawn from his music and personal experiences, reached number one on Amazon in the Spiritual Growth category and continues to impact readers worldwide.
As CEO of Downswell Records, Kevin is passionate about mentoring emerging ministers and artists, helping them build strong spiritual foundations alongside excellence in craft. His ministry has placed him on stages alongside Pastor Donnie McClurkin, Kirk Franklin, TobyMac, Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Maverick City Music, Nathaniel Bassey, and others. He also holds a publishing and distribution deal with Integrity Music, one of the world’s leading Christian music companies.
Ordained as an evangelist, Kevin earned a Doctorate of Sacred Music from Door of Favor Theological Seminary in New York. He has also been awarded the Order of Distinction by the Government of Jamaica in the rank of Officer, recognizing his contribution to music, ministry, and national development.
Beyond music, Kevin leads the Realignment Initiative, a mission focused on mentoring and restoring abused children, a work he and his team have faithfully carried since 2017.
Grounded in faith and supported by his wife, Marsha, Kevin lives by John 3:30, “He must increase, but I must decrease.” Whether through music, ministry, or mentorship, his calling remains the same: to point hearts to Christ and remind people that victory is possible, even after midnight.
